Excellence
We aim for excellence in everything we undertake. In practice that means working through the implications of a decision before it is taken, and assembling the right group around a client for the transaction in front of them: counsel, accountants, specialist diligence. The advisers a client arrived with are not always the advisers the transaction requires, and saying so is part of the work.
Part of excellence is resilience. Markets are not always favourable, and a process begun in the wrong conditions is difficult to recover. We account for that, and we are patient.
Innovation
We use AI and technology to their full extent, and we build in house rather than buy.
That is what allows a small team to cover a sector properly. The analytical work that would otherwise absorb an associate for a week runs in the background, and our attention stays where it is worth most: on the client and on the transaction.
Trust
We are building a practice on long-term relationships rather than on individual transactions, and the client's interest comes first in every case.
The second commitment follows from the first. A firm dependent on the next mandate advises accordingly. A firm that expects to be advising the same people in ten years has every reason to say the unwelcome thing now: that this is the wrong year to sell, that an offer already on the table is sound and should be taken, or that another firm is better suited to the mandate.
